Let the warmth of hope and light take the chill from the air as we recognize 25 years of shelter and support. Join us on November 2, 2019, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, where we will be honouring Lurana Shelter’s 25th anniversary at our annual Light the Way Home Gala Co-Presented by Bayshore Home Health and Good Samaritan Society. Objective
The Light the Way Home Gala raises essential funds that support the work of Lurana Shelter Society. Since 2009, nearly $695,000 has been raised through preceding gala fundraisers including, ‘Avenue of Hope’ and ‘Passport to Hope.’ We are delighted to announce that all proceeds raised this evening will directly benefit Lurana Shelter.
Over the past 25 years, Lurana Shelter has provided critical, holistic services intended to reduce the impact of trauma from domestic violence and abuse. While the hope is not to be needed some day, for now, our priorities include providing safe refuge for women and their children, empowering individuals we serve, and working toward social change through education and advocacy.
