FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS
Thank you for considering giving to Lurana Shelter! Every dollar we receive helps improve the lives of women and children in their time of need. No gift is too small and there are many different ways to give. All financial donations are 100% tax deductible and will be followed up with a formal receipt for tax purposes.
27th Anniversary for Lurana Shelter 2020 is a significant year for our emergency shelter. Consider a gift which incorporates the numbers 27!
Tribute and Memorial Gifts Looking for the perfect gift for that special someone? Want to honour the memory of a loved one? Pay tribute to that special person with a gift to Lurana Shelter Society. Gifts will be acknowledged with a card sent to the person in whose name the gift was made or, in the case of a memorial gift, to the family. The amount of the gift will not be mentioned and a separate tax receipt will be sent to you.
Monthly, Recurring Gifts Monthly donations allow Lurana Shelter Society to receive steady and reliable support so that we can continue to provide critical services to our clients. If you decide to make monthly donations, the first charge will be issued today and will continue on the same date every month after. We will provide you with a letter acknowledging your donation at the end of the calendar year.
Fundraise for Lurana Shelter Society Choose Lurana Shelter Society as “charity of choice” for your next fundraising event! We welcome partnerships with individuals, groups, businesses, schools and clubs who are interested in raising funds to help us provide services for victims of family violence. Give back to the community and have a great time — we would love to have your support!
Matching Gifts If your company has a matching gift program, your generous donation can be doubled or tripled. Please ask your human resources department for more information so that you can help even more survivors of gender violence with your gift.

LURANA’S IN-KIND CENTRE
Many families arrive at Lurana Shelter with few or no personal belongings. Because of generosity of benefactors Lurana’s In-Kind Centre is able to provide basic supplies to individuals coming into Lurana Shelter. Lurana’s In-kind Centre provides materials to other programs under the Society too, as donations permit. appreciated!
In-Kind Donations are received by appointment only through the Centre’s Coordinator at 780-293-9516.
Gift Cards The most useful item to donate to our shelter is Gift Cards. Our needs change frequently and gift cards allow us to purchase the things that are needed for our clients at the time that they need them. (i.e. gasoline gift cards, groceries, etc.)
Wish List Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our donor community, our limited storage space is currently close to capacity — this means we are only able to accept donations of items most in demand.
